PROJECT SLATE - POTENTIAL PROJECTS - Identifying all projects and putting them into a single list is important, since it provides equal visibility of all projects being considered and provides for an even start in the prioritization process which follows the list's presentation. Another advantage is that it allows the Technology Resources Manager to review these requirements against the on-going operations and maintenance requirements at the same time. Reviewing projects serially can lead to over-commitment of resources since their total requirements are not taken into account at the time of committing to each project. Serial review can also lead to improper prioritization since not all projects are considered together.
